Hello everyone at Tyreus! I hope you had a wonderful New Year and just an awesome Holiday Season in general. But there's now some very important business we need to address. As some of you may know for quite a long while we've been using Vlexo for our server. We really have overstayed our visit at Vlexo and need to move. This means we will need to transfer all accounts to the new server. Please also know that our IPs will change! In order to do a complete transfer we need your account password. You have the option of giving us your current password or we can change your password to something random and then you can change it back after the move. Things are gonna get bumpy people so please hold on! If you want to cancel your Tyreus service now is also a convenient time to do so. So if you no longer wish to continue hosting with us, please let us know.

If you do not respond quickly we will change your password and move your account to the new server. After which we will email you the new password with the email that we have on file. We realize that many of you will have further questions. You can ask them in the Discussion Thread or there may be someone on IRC to help. http://tyreus.com/irc.php

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

Kevin M,
Tyreus Chief Executive

We have a stable server now, I think.

1. An email requesting hosted users to back up files would be appreciated.
2. Please post the exact date and time of server change so that we can plan well in advance.
3. Please publish the new server provider's information.

1. No backup is needed. There will be no data loss.
2. We have already moved the accounts. The original accounts still remain on the old server.
3. We will ASAP

The only thing that needs to be done now is to move the actual Tyreus main site (this). Once that is done all the *.tyreus.com accounts on the new server will be ready for use. If you have a domain then you'll have to change the nameservers.

When I signed up for hosting, I choose a subdomain at tyreus.com but my primary site is a top level domain, http://vineeth.in. The subdomain http://vineeth.tyreus.com is forwarded to http://vineeth.in by a PHP script. Both of them are working well right now. I think, I don't have to change anything...

They're still pointing to the old server. Soon we'll provide instructions on how to get this to the new server.

so since you're moving out of vlexo server does that mean that now those who host @ vlexo can host here in tyreus as well?
i've been gone for a long time - but this is still post to host, right?

Yes Tyreus is a post to host, and any Vlexo customer is and will be welcome, as long as they don't have multiple accounts on Tyreus itself. (And of course follow our other rules as well)

@Kevin

Hope you successfully moved to Tailor Made Servers and everything back online. Cheers for your good work

It would be helpful if you can post a note about the forum downtime... and the new server is working fine for me.

Your account password is the same. Your account is already on the new server and hopefully you were notified via email some time last week or so.
